Dream Link: Tameside Regenerated
Tameside business owners will soon be able to promote their services for free on a new iPhone application design for local residents. The app, known as
Dream Link has been developed to connect people all over Tameside with local shops and amenities.
Promoting Local Talent and Social Values
It also features a 'Youth Showcase', giving young people in the area the chance to show off their talents and abilities to the world. Friends can watch and listen to productions using any iPhone or iPod Touch mobile device. Additionally, the app boasts regularly updated Lifestyle articles that offer free advice on everything from Business & Finance to Social & Communication Skills.
The free app, due for release this Summer has been developed as a collaboration between Design Dynamos and a Church in Tameside known as 'The Dream Centre'. Our two organisations have teamed up to provide a service that we hope will help regenerate Tameside socially as well as financially.
Generous members of The Dream Centre will visit Tameside business owners, find out what services they want to promote and take photos. The content is then uploaded to Dream Link, which will be made available to everyone as a free download on Apple's iTunes Store.
